Key Responsibilities:
- Create magazine/periodical covers, editorial layouts, ad pages and spreads using Adobe InDesign and following established style guides, templates, and client briefs.
- Adhere to established magazine design principles when composing/typesetting or enhancing images, tables, graphs, and other visual elements through Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Thoroughly understand all assigned editorial content, and its context for the selection of relevant pull quotes and images to enrich the layout.
- Collaborate and correspond with clients concerning production and design requirements, inquiries, delivery expectations, and deadlines.
- Uphold quality control and provide a PDF proof of the designed article within a reasonable amount of time
- Ensure all layouts are up to print-ready standards.
- Such other duties, functions, and responsibilities may be assigned to you by the Company, or your superiors.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in design & layout
- Knowledgeable in publishing, typesetting & printing
- With good communication skills (oral & written) to be able to collaborate & communicate with clients concerning the projects.
- Proficient in design software (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator)
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Candidate must be available to work on US Eastern Time (EST) schedule.
