Conducts testing of existing and new/enhanced/alternative locally manufactured products.
Receives and checks Product Research and Development (PRD) Project Request. Determines the PRD category.
Submits raw materials to QAC for physic-chemical analysis as well as receives, accepts and forwards results to PRD Supervisor for review.
Assists in the conduct of product formulation.
Submits formulated samples of proposed new/enhanced/alternative product to Test Kitchen for product application.
Assists in the determination and evaluation of relevant resources needed such as but not limited to raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, equipment and among others.
Assists in the conceptualization and development of products for general promotions and custom-blend products in order to meet customers specifications and requirements.
Assists in product matching based on the required parameters and assessment of a given reference sample.
Assists in the conduct of laboratory trials for new/enhanced/alternative products.
Assists in the verification and validation of successful application of established manufacturing procedures for new/enhanced or alternative products considering all parameters, specifications and resources needed.
Records manufacturing process validation data.
Spearheads the conduct of Shelf Life Study activities including planning, preparation of resources, implementation and monitoring, documentation of results, analysis and evaluation.
Receives and reviews request for shelf life study.
Performs shelf life study planning.
Job Qualifications
Graduate of BS Food Technology or any related course
At least three (3) years of extensive work experience as Research and Development Personnel in a food manufacturing or trading/retail industry
