Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Leaders to understand user needs and translate them into clear business scenarios.
Partner with Product Managers to plan and develop informed product roadmaps.
Serve as a key member of one or more Scrum teams, continuously refining the backlog and coordinating with Product Owners, Engineering, QA, and Program teams to support smooth development and remove blockers.
Prioritize release and sprint backlogs, ensuring logical sequencing of stories and incorporating feedback from stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Participate in all sprint ceremonies and lead backlog refinement and grooming sessions.
Triage issues during development and respond to inquiries during production support.
Communicate end-user technical needs and conduct requirement walk-throughs with Scrum teams.
Collaborate with Business Analysts to clarify backlog items, ensuring alignment across teams and addressing cross-domain topics.
Proactively make decisions to unblock Scrum teams while escalating critical issues to Product Managers or PMO when necessary.
Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed.
Partner with Business Analysts to delegate and manage work efficiently.
Take ownership of release success and ensure product quality and delivery.
Focus on problem articulation and enable teams to collaboratively define solutions.
Utilize trusted agile practices such as story mapping, writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and creating process workflows.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on Product Owner & Business Analyst experience in software development initiativesincluding new builds, enhancements, and support/maintenance work.
Solid capability in product discovery and backlog managementable to define clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and release-ready requirements; prioritizes effectively based on business value, feasibility, and dependencies
Solid experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation, with growing confidence in supporting peers in these areas when needed.
Demonstrates technical acuity and the ability to engage in technical discussion with developers, testers, and SMEsunderstanding system behavior, data flows, integration points, and trade-offs to support more accurate scoping, risk identification, and solution definition.
Working knowledge of defining and validating non-functional requirements (NFRs)such as security, performance, and scalabilityand incorporating them in basic solution discussions.
Brings a proactive, curious mindset and can break down complex or ambiguous problems with structured analysis and solid attention to detail.
Able to identify risks, dependencies and impacts, and communicate them clearly to the team in order to enable informed trade-off discussions and sequencing decisions.
Strong experience working in Agile Scrum software development environments and contributing to improving team practices and workflows.
Able to manage time, scope, and task ownership effectively, with increasing independence in owning features or components from end-to-end delivery.
Experience contributing to successful project outcomes as part of a cross-functional scrum team.
Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and support team needs across backlog priorities, analysis, refinement, testing support, and stakeholder alignment.
Strong communication and facilitation skills, capable of explaining business requirements and functional specifications to developers, testers, and stakeholders.
Working understanding of design thinking concepts, story mapping, and workflow visualization techniques; be able to apply them when appropriate.
Ability to work effectively in remote, virtual, and multi-time zone environments while maintaining strong collaboration and communication.
Good exposure to enterprise systems, integrations, microservices, and database concepts
Quick learner with strong aptitude for adopting new technologies or tools; exposure to evaluating or piloting new solutions is a plus.
Experience in IT within HR technology or Content Management Systems (CMS) is an advantage.
Awareness or foundational knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts is preferred but not required.
Experience supporting or contributing to AI-related features is considered a plus.
