Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly driven Product Manager to lead product management and marketing initiatives in the Philippines. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing category strategies, driving business growth, managing new product development, and executing marketing programs aligned with regional and global objectives.

This role will report directly to the Associate Business Director, Philippines.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management & Category Strategy

  • Develop and own the product and category strategy, vision, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and regional priorities.
  • Lead the overall marketing function and drive country-level marketing strategy and execution.
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop plans to strengthen category and brand performance.
  • Monitor product lifecycle activities including product launches, packaging updates, reformulations, and product phase-outs.

Business Planning & Performance Management

  • Develop long-term strategic growth plans to achieve brand, category, and market objectives.
  • Analyze business performance and provide regular reports on brand health, category performance, market share, pricing, and competitive activities.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales volume, revenue, market share, and profitability.
  • Collaborate closely with Business, Finance, and Regional Marketing teams to monitor and optimize advertising and promotion (A&P) investments.

Marketing & Consumer Engagement

  • Serve as the key country contact for product and marketing-related matters with regional and global stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns, consumer engagement programs, and brand-building initiatives.
  • Lead market research activities to generate consumer insights and support business decisions.
  • Manage relationships with advertising, creative, research, and media agencies.
  • Drive Above-the-Line (ATL) and Below-the-Line (BTL) marketing activities to strengthen brand awareness and market presence.

Innovation & New Product Development

  • Develop and manage the Innovation Master Plan (IMP) for the local market.
  • Lead new product development initiatives in alignment with local, regional, and global strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and commercialization.
  • Support innovation projects from concept development through market launch.

Regulatory & Compliance Management

  • Ensure product formulations, packaging, and labeling comply with local regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate product registration activities and gather technical documentation required for regulatory approvals.
  • Partner with distributors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to support market launch timelines and compliance requirements.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage consumer inquiries, feedback, and complaints to ensure positive customer experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, distributors, agency partners, and external vendors.
  • Provide market insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support special projects and assignments as directed by management.
  • Participate in regional meetings, training programs, and strategic planning initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in Product Management, Brand Management, or Marketing within FMCG, Consumer Goods, Food, Personal Care, Healthcare, or related industries.
  • Proven experience managing product portfolios and leading marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success in new product launches, innovation projects, and brand-building campaigns.
  • Experience working with advertising, creative, media, and research agencies.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics, business reporting, and performance tracking tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading major ATL brand campaigns and new product launches.
  • Knowledge of consumer insights, market research, and category management.
  • Exposure to regional or multinational business environments is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.
