The Product Manager at The KPI Institute is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap for products that advance organizational performance and deliver measurable value to clients. This includes a comprehensive library of research outputs, frameworks, certification programs, and digital learning solutions.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive professional to lead the product lifecycle, from discovery and concept development to launch, optimization, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will collaborate with research, publications, education, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure product decisions are driven by customer insights, market trends, and business impact.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Vision

  • Define and communicate the product vision and long-term roadmap, ensuring it aligns with company goals and market shifts.
  • Identify product opportunities and develop business cases to assess the feasibility and ROI of new initiatives.
  • Lead discovery initiatives, such as market research, customer interviews, and surveys, to serve as the Voice of the Customer and translate needs into clear product requirements.
  • Develop customer personas, use cases, and problem statements to guide the Research, Publications, and Education teams in creating targeted solutions.

Product Development and Delivery

  • Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation and discovery through to launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Translate strategic goals into detailed user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria for production teams.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in collaboration with the Education, Research, and Publications departments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Facilitate collaboration between departments to ensure content integrity and pedagogical quality are maintained throughout the development process.

Go-to-Market and Sales Enablement

  • Drive successful product releases by defining market positioning, messaging, and compelling value propositions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop high-quality product documentation, packaging, and sales enablement materials.
  • Coordinate all cross-functional activities (e.g., sales training, marketing campaigns) required for a unified and effective product market entry.

Product Performance and Data Optimization

  • Define and monitor KPIs for product performance, such as course enrollment, completion rates, client adoption of frameworks, or customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze feedback, usage data, and market insights to optimize products and enhance value delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to increase engagement, adoption, and customer retention across all product lines.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align priorities and deliver product outcomes.
  • Communicate product progress, roadmaps, and results to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams to ensure successful product delivery.

Educational background requirements

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Education Sciences is a plus).
  • Preferred: Master's degree in a related field to further enhance strategic thinking, research acumen, or management skills.

Technical Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Significant experience (minimum 3 years) in Product Management, ideally within the Professional Education, Research, or Certification industries.
  • Proven experience in managing products from discovery/ideation through to GTM and post-launch iteration.
  • Strong ability to design and execute research methodologies, including customer interviews, surveys, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Strong understanding of Agile product development practices.
  • Ability to translate customer insights into product or educational solutions.
  • Familiarity with Product Management and Project Management software (e.g., Asana)
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility and adeptness at multitasking within a fast-paced working environment.
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring thorough cross-checking for accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Cultural competence and experience working with diverse teams, demonstrating an understanding and appreciation of different cultural perspectives.
  • Native-level or excellent professional proficiency in English (both written and verbal), as you will be liaising with international stakeholders.
