Position: Product Manager-Emerging Technology
Office Location: UB Plaza - 34F Pasig (Headquarters)
Job Summary: The Product Manager-Emerging Technologies to be able to contribute to the bank's business growth in its products and services by actively participating in the digital transformation initiatives through the introduction of financial technologies (fintech) and the business partnerships needed to work in the digital economy.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Manages Fintech Business by:
- Actively engaging Fintech companies
- Maintaining good business relationships with Fintechs
- Onboarding new Fintechs (simple and advanced partnerships)
- Managing day-to-day partnership and/or product issues
- Ensuring partnerships are compliant to all regulatory policies, legal, etc
- Under the supervision of Sr. Product Manager, develop new products and/or channels for cards issuing and payments platform:
- Interface with internal sales units such as Segments, CMS Sales Team and RMs to ensure that products being developed meet the customer requirements
- Conduct extensive product testing
- Prepare the product concept approval to obtain Senior Management approval for the project
- Lead a project team composed of various stakeholders such as Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Legal and IT to develop solutions based on customer requirements
- Ensure that deadlines for the product are met and escalated to the Senior Product Manager / Product Head in case of delays or difficulties
- Week BSP approval and prepare marketing plans prior to commercialization of the product and/or channel
- Prepare product roadmap for platform enhancements and innovation
- Exhibit mastery of the products developed and be immersed in over-all product management and the bank's Systems Development Life Cycle process. o Conduct studies/keep abreast of the payment gateway market place, and the card payment products used in local and international markets
- Develop effective business models and card acquisition strategies via co-branding, BIN sponsorship or white-label e-wallet solution
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered from partners and clients
- Improve on Fintech PM Competencies by:
- Augmenting product knowledge and be immersed in the different products and/or services offered by the bank
- Working on Personal Effectiveness, People Development and Management Qualities, Interaction with Others, Execution, Thinking and Technical skills
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
