Role Purpose:
Responsible for the development and management of retail banking products such as deposits, loans and related products, including planning, development, implementation, and marketing. Conduct analysis and benchmark against market practice and client needs, through working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap of assigned products
- Prepare product proposals, feasibility studies and perform due diligence on the new products to be launched, including peer analysis, cost benefit analysis, systems required, product pricing, etc. Work closely with other departments to secure approval prior to launch of the products.
- Prepare and review forms, documents, and agreements related to the products handled.
- Prepare user requirements for products requiring system development or enhancement, and collaborate with BOCHK for implementation.
- Conduct market study, learn about the market trend and client requirements. Understand market best practices for operational management.
- Develop and recommend optimal operating models and procedures. Prepare the product manuals, SOP's and policies with regards to new products and conduct annual review
- Monitor the performance of the products handled, conduct post-evaluation, adjust the price, requirement, standard operating procedure (SOP) review, etc., plan and guide the sales team to improve the performance of the products handled by providing sales and promotion plans.
- Deliver training on the products and changes all internal stakeholders
- Prepare and implement marketing and communication plan, which include promotional materials to be shared to clients via email, social media platforms, website, as needed
- Accompany the sales team, as needed, to present new products to the clients
- Achieve the key targets set by department and the bank.
- Liaise and coordinate with other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and that service standards, risk control and regulatory requirements are met.
Job Specifications:
- Graduate of any four (4) year course
- At least 5 years related work experience in banking, related to retail business
- Speaks Mandarin, preferably
