Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Concept & Design
  1. Develop new product concepts based on customer requirements, market research, and business objectives.
  2. Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and early-stage testing.
  • Product Development & Engineering
  1. Lead technical development of products through design, analysis, validation, and optimization.
  2. Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-ups, material selection, and risk analyses (e.g., FMEA).
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, QA, supply chain, marketing).
  • Prototyping & Testing
  1. Build and evaluate prototypes to assess performance, durability, and user experience.
  2. Create test plans, analyze test results, and iterate on design improvements.
  • Manufacturing Support
  1. Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless production scale-up.
  2. Support design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) initiatives.
  3. Troubleshoot production issues and provide engineering solutions.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  1. Prepare engineering documentation, BOMs, revision control, and technical reports.
  2. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Management
  1. Plan and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  2. Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 25+ years of experience in product development, engineering design, or R&D.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Fusion 360, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to innovate.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills (Optional)

  • Experience with FEA/CFD analysis tools.
  • Exposure to HVAC
  • Knowledge of statistical methods, DOE, or Six Sigma.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes.
  • Experience with regulatory environments (ISO, FDA, CE, automotive/ aerospace standards, etc.).
