Job Description

General Objective of the Job

  • As a member of the purchasing team, you are responsible for purchasing assigned materials and monitors performance.
  • Ensures continuity of supply to support the manufacturing schedule.
  • Institutes cost savings for assigned materials.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Material Availability: Responsible for purchasing assigned materials, Monitors Material Requirement Planning Worksheet status, and other related tasks
  • Cost Management: Institutes and generate cost savings for assigned materials and contribute on the bottom line, prolongation of payment terms and support cash flow, and other related tasks
  • Market Analysis: Monitors and analyzes market trends and technological advances related to handled materials.
  • Support to Business Development: Contributes in the development of new products and support on expanding product portfolio, develops alternative to single sourced materials and other related tasks.
  • Operational Excellence: Executes and ensures implementation of established Purchasing Principles, Procedures and Policies, Responsible for vendor accreditation process, Periodically assesses the suppliers performance for assigned materials and other related tasks.
  • Purchase Order Issuance: Prepares and/or maintains procurement transaction files and documentation including reports on Purchase Order (PO), Request for creation of vendor accounts in AX and D365, and other relevant tasks.
  • Other related/ relevant tasks may be assigned: Reports Dashboard performance monthly and quarterly, performs special tasks as may be assigned by the Procurement Manager.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical)or other related courses
  • With at least 1 year of experience as MRO Buyer
  • With Good oral and written communication skills
  • Procurement and Sourcing Skills: Strong negotiation skills, sourcing capability, supplier management
  • Analytical and Problem Solving Skills: Data Analysis, Market Trend Analysis, Identifying cost-quality balance, resolving supply issues
  • Organization and Details Orientation: Accuracy in record keeping, managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines
  • Technical Proficient: Knowledgeable on MS Office, MS D365, Power BI/Phyton
  • With background on Project Engineering Evaluation
  • Willing to work in First Industrial Township, Brgy. Pagaspas, Tanauan, Batangas
  • Willing to report onsite with 5 days compressed workweek schedule
