The Role

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely sourcing, cost efficiency, and compliance while supporting the company's operational and strategic goals.

You will collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, and Operations to ensure Mega Prime Foods consistently delivers quality products to the Filipino household while maintaining ethical and sustainable sourcing practices.

What You'll Be Accountable For

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Source materials, goods, and services aligned with company standards and budgets

• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness

• Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve optimal value while maintaining strong supplier relationships

Operational Excellence

• Manage procurement planning and execution to meet operational requirements on time

• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Supply Chain to avoid shortages or overstock

• Implement efficient procurement processes, systems, and reporting

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards in procurement

• Assess supplier risks and implement mitigation strategies

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasts, and cost control initiatives

• Work with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to align procurement with product innovation and quality requirements

• Provide data-informed insights to support strategic decisions

Culture & Capability Building

• Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and collaboration within the procurement function

• Support the development of procurement systems and tools to enhance team capability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (MBA or professional certification a plus)

• At least 2 work experience in procurement, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing

• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Proven track record of delivering cost savings, process improvements, or operational efficiency

• Ability to make data-driven decisions while maintaining long-term relationships and ethical standards
