We are now looking for a Merchandising Operations Manager who understands the realities of local FMCG—from sari-sari stores to modern trade—and sees merchandising as a critical driver of availability, visibility, and sales.

The Role
The Merchandising Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing merchandising execution across all trade channels, with strong focus on General Trade, Distributor Operations, and Modern Trade accounts.
You will work closely with Sales, Trade Marketing, and Distributor partners to ensure consistent and effective in-store execution, aligned with commercial priorities and local market dynamics.

What You'll Be Accountable For
Merchandising Strategy & Execution
• Drive execution of merchandising standards across sari-sari stores, wholesalers, supermarkets, and key accounts
• Ensure correct placement, visibility, and availability of SKUs in line with planograms and promos
• Adapt merchandising strategies based on regional and channel-specific needs
Distributor & Field Team Management
• Work closely with distributor partners and their merchandising teams to ensure alignment and execution
• Set clear KPIs and monitor performance of field merchandisers nationwide
• Conduct regular trade visits to validate execution and address on-ground challenges
Operational Excellence
• Oversee deployment, routing, and coverage of merchandisers to maximize efficiency
• Ensure proper coordination with Supply Chain to avoid out-of-stocks, especially in high-volume areas
• Standardize processes across regions while allowing flexibility for local realities
Data & Performance Management
• Track key metrics such as on-shelf availability, share of shelf, display execution, and promo compliance
• Analyze sell-out and field data to identify gaps and opportunities
• Provide actionable insights to Sales and Trade Marketing teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Sales teams to align merchandising priorities with volume targets
• Work with Trade Marketing on roll-out of promotions and in-store activations
• Coordinate with Finance on budgets, cost controls, and ROI of merchandising initiatives
Culture & Capability Building
• Build a disciplined, accountable, and high-performing merchandising organization
• Train and develop merchandisers and distributor teams on execution standards
• Promote integrity, malasakit, and ownership in field operations

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
• At least 5–7 years of experience in FMCG merchandising, sales operations, or trade marketing
• Strong experience handling Modern Trade, General Trade and distributor operations
• Proven ability to manage field teams across multiple regions
• Strong analytical skills with experience in execution tracking and reporting
• Willingness to travel frequently for trade visits
