Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring that all procurement activities comply with ethical and legal standards
Monitor and manage supplier performance, conducting regular reviews and taking corrective action as needed
Work closely with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and develop procurement plans to meet those needs
Develop and maintain procurement metrics and reports to measure performance and identify areas for improvement
Continuously monitor market trends and developments, identifying opportunities and risks that may impact procurement activities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any business course
8 - 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management; basic knowledge in logistics is an advantage
In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, procedures, and best practices
Strong negotiation and contract management skills; able to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to analyze complex data and provide actionable recommendations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and team management skills, organizational skills
Experience with procurement software and tools; familiarity with SAP is an advantage
Knowledgeable in supplier sourcing and must be able to maintain and update lists of suppliers
