Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring that all procurement activities comply with ethical and legal standards
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, conducting regular reviews and taking corrective action as needed
  • Work closely with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and develop procurement plans to meet those needs
  • Develop and maintain procurement metrics and reports to measure performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Continuously monitor market trends and developments, identifying opportunities and risks that may impact procurement activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any business course
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management; basic knowledge in logistics is an advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, procedures, and best practices
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills; able to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to analyze complex data and provide actionable recommendations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, organizational skills
  • Experience with procurement software and tools; familiarity with SAP is an advantage
  • Knowledgeable in supplier sourcing and must be able to maintain and update lists of suppliers
