Job Description

Provides E2E category expertise and leadership for the assigned category/ies from understanding of business requirements to match with supply market (industry and vendors) in order to drive the entire category strategy. This role owns the end‐to‐end lifecycle for one or more procurement categories, from spend analysis and supplier market research through contract negotiation, supplier management, and continuous improvement. The Category Manager collaborates closely with cross‐functional stakeholders—such as Operations, Finance, Quality, Legal, and end‐user departments—to ensure that category strategies support business requirements, compliance standards, and total cost of ownership (TCO) objectives.

1. Category Management: Performs regular review of categories through spend analysis, industry analysis, vendor business reviews, etc. in order to come up with an ideal category strategy

2. Supply Market Analysis: Perform in‐depth market research to identify, screen, and qualify potential suppliers, which will support the requirements of the categories handled

3. Sourcing & Shortlisting: Leads the sourcing process in order to support needs of the business units as aligned with the category strategy

4. Negotiating & Contracting: Leads the negotiations with vendors to ensure that the business gets the optimum service, cost, terms

5. Stakeholder Management: Drives strong partnerships with business units and vendors for the assigned categories

6. Risk Management: Identifies potential risks for assigned categories and creates mitigation/contingency plans
