Job Description

The Procurement Associate is responsible for executing the full procurement lifecycle, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role involves preparing and issuing RFQs, negotiating favorable terms with suppliers, and managing supplier relationships and performance. The Procurement Associate supports strategic sourcing initiatives, tracks procurement metrics, and ensures compliance with company policies and ethical standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end procurement activities from need identification to PO processing and payment tracking.
  • Leading supplier negotiations in alignment with procurement procedures to secure optimal pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and maintaining strong vendor relationships to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement efforts with project goals and timelines.
  • Generating innovative solutions to enhance procurement efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Reporting to the Procurement Specialist and maintaining clear communication with internal requesters and suppliers.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in SAP for procurement tasks like PO processing, vendor management, and reporting.
  • Strong background in procurement strategy, cost control, and timely sourcing.
  • Skilled in supplier negotiations and securing favorable terms.
  • Experience in construction or engineering procurement, especially for materials and services.
  • Knowledge of contract management and supplier performance tracking.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis and reporting.

Experience:

  • 3+ years in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, ideally in construction or engineering.
  • Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
