The Role:

Our role is your opportunity to shape the future of talent acquisition. Are you interested Let's talk!

Talent Sourcers play a key role in our clients success by partnering with Hiring Managers and Recruiters and developing effective, consultative, professional relationships with them. Through asking the right questions to ensure a detailed understanding of the client and each role, and by leveraging data, historic hiring trends, and market analysis, Talent Sourcers develop bespoke sourcing strategies and then use a range of tools and techniques to find the best talent in the market.

Talent Sourcers are brand ambassadors for our clients, bringing each opportunity to life with candidates in a compelling and authentic way to ensure they are qualified, interested, and engaged before being presented to the Hiring Manager. A Principal Sourcing Specialist is a true subject matter expert in recruitment and sourcing and will confidently partner with senior stakeholders to understand even the most complex hiring needs, developing sourcing strategies which focus on finding and engaging passive talent across specialist disciplines

Key Accountabilities:

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with Recruiters to develop partnerships and working relationships that deliver a great candidate and hiring manager experience. You will lead on recruiting discussions and ensure you're viewed as a thought leader who can expertly develop sourcing strategies that deliver great talent.
  • Partner with experts in sourcing and talent intelligence to develop effective sourcing strategies and ensure that you're using talent intelligence to influence your client stakeholders and hiring outcomes. Proactively ensure you're bringing insight and intelligence to recruiting discussions at the beginning of the process.
  • Be accountable for the delivery of high-quality, engaged candidate shortlists to your Hiring Managers with accurate and complete information to help them make informed hiring decisions. As a Trusted Advisor, make clear recommendations on your shortlisted candidates and speculatively introduce candidates of interest to your key stakeholders.
  • Work with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to understand and share candidate feedback, challenges, and successes, advocating potential solutions and making recommendations to inform and adapt the recruitment strategy e.g., hiring in alternative locations, exploring different talent pools, or updating job descriptions.
  • Demonstrate innovative, critical thinking and a commitment to ongoing professional development within your role, so you can support your client to hire the best talent in the market, not just those who are actively on the market.
  • Review and post compelling, accurate job adverts that amplify your client's brand and attract candidates to review and apply. Demonstrate success in filling roles that may not have a high-volume applicant funnel.
  • Understand and utilise data to measure the success of your sourcing strategy, review, refine, innovate, and adapt your approach as required. Regularly socialise successes and challenges that reinforce the value of sourcing.
  • Engage with your target audience in a professional and authentic way. Communicate effectively using various channels e.g., email, LinkedIn, social media, and over the phone. Expect to headhunt niche talent regularly for specialist hiring needs.
  • Have high-quality, consultative conversations with your candidates, qualifying their suitability for current or future roles. Engage regularly with passive talent and identify opportunities to speculatively arrange introductions to key stakeholders.
  • Gain insight into candidate skills, background, behaviours, career aspirations, and motivations and use this to make informed selection decisions.
  • Support candidates, keeping them up to date as they progress through the recruitment process. Actively work with your candidates to talent pool them and create lasting relationships that enable you to re-engage them to support future hiring needs.

Skills & Experience:

You'll need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build great relationships and partner independently with clients and candidates. Clear, engaging and professional in written communications with the ability to digest, retain and utilize information to influence others.
  • Demonstrable mastery in recruiting and/or sourcing techniques with the ability to use data and in-depth market knowledge to inform sourcing strategies and create and adapt detailed sourcing plans to fill specialist and niche hiring needs.
  • Mastery of a broad range of passive sourcing techniques and technologies including Boolean and LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut and in house ATS or CRM technologies.
  • An understanding of how market shifts and changes in candidate behaviors impact the ability to source and hire great talent. The ability to use this understanding to adapt sourcing strategies and articulate key messages and be viewed as an expert thought leader.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a demanding environment.
  • Experience of using a range of tools and systems including in house Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Competent and confident in using MS Office, Windows and/or other similar products and confident using the internet to research and find information to design more impactful sourcing strategies.
  • Experience working to Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements.
