Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

Deltek is seeking a Principal Business Analyst for our Global Enterprise Application Team. You will lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise IT application solutions to enhance company-wide operations. Key responsibilities include running business process workshops, gathering and synthesizing requirements, conducting data analysis to support business cases, and providing operational support for production systems. As a relationship manager for assigned business units, you will identify and deliver strategic technology initiatives, analyze challenges, and propose efficient solutions. Systems Planning, Integration & Deployment

  • Lead research, vendor assessment, and selection for IT business applications using formal methodologies.
  • Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses to guide management decisions on IT system implementations.
  • Collaborate on planning, designing, developing, and deploying new applications and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Create use-case models, requirements specifications, and interface diagrams for development teams.
  • Facilitate business process design sessions to optimize operations and information flow.
  • Manage documentation, knowledge transfer, and training materials after implementation.
  • Define, track, and report on success metrics, support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee system testing, user acceptance, and post-implementation support for new and updated systems.
  • Manage training, communication, and change management for system rollouts.
  • Lead data, system, and process integration for acquisitions, especially migrating customer and CRM data to Deltek's platforms.

Systems Operations & Support

  • Develop and present reports, recommendations, and alternative solutions for enterprise IT systems.
  • Assess system performance and functionality; develop strategies to enhance capabilities.
  • Monitor application SLAs and collaborate with business and technical teams for robust support and ongoing improvements.
  • Provide technical and strategic guidance, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent; Master's preferred.
  • 610 years as an IT or Business Systems Analyst.
  • 45 years implementing HR, Customer Success, or other enterprise applications in technology industries.
  • Must be available to work during U.S. Eastern Time Zone hours.
  • Experience managing and cleansing customer data in HR systems.
  • Consulting background strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Blue Prism, UI Path) a plus.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience across the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for various technologies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Skilled in cost-benefit and ROI analysis.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Knowledge of user experience design, requirements prioritization, and continuous feedback.
  • Proven success with SaaS application implementation and support.
  • Strong IT project management background.
  • Skilled in modeling business processes, data flows, and workflow systems.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and use Business Intelligence tools.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms, including HR and Customer Success systems.
  • Demonstrates adaptability, learning agility, and teamwork.

Customer and Leadership Competencies

  • Excellent oral and written communication, relationship building, influencing, and negotiation with technical and business teams.
  • Experience engaging with all organizational levels, from staff to executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven conflict resolution and change management leadership skills.
