Pricing AE Analyst supports the pricing strategy and execution for Asia-Europe Trade, covering six (6) major trade scopes under the CIF business: AEW, AMW, OEW, OMW, WEW, and WMW. The role involves managing daily and tender pricing for US and FOB customers, with a focus on specialized
shipments such as OOG/IG. The Analyst ensures market competitiveness through rigorous data
analysis, rate computation, and seamless coordination with global stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Pricing Execution & Rate Management
- Execute day-to-day rate requests efficiently via email and the Tiger system.
- Manage specialized pricing for Reefer, Special Cargo IG + OOG (Ingauge & Outgauge) and SOC/Tank shipments (excluding Breakbulk).
- Validate and provide inland CY and/or Door Rates, including Pick-up/Drop-off (PUDO) charges.
- Review and approve Rate and Service Contract Agreements to ensure alignment with trade policies.
Tender Management & Strategic Support
- Facilitate Tender Pricing for both Global Key Accounts (GKA) and non-GKA via Eagle X and direct correspondence.
- Maintain a comprehensive Tender Log, tracking customer data, awards, and historical rate performance.
- Support the collection and synthesis of market intelligence reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to monitor prevailing rates and export country activities.
System Administration & Data Integrity
- Maintain and upload MRG (Minimum Rate Guideline) working files into the Tiger System for both offline and ONE Quote platforms.
- Manage the GHQ AE Drive, ensuring systematic record-keeping by segregating Working Files from Submission Files.
- Drive the automation and digitalization of pricing workflows through active utilization and feedback on platforms like Tiger and Eagle X.
Governance & Approvals
- Review and approve free time extension requests exceeding standard tariff levels.
- Evaluate waiver requests for eligibility before escalating to GHQ AE PRI.
- Serve as a delegated approver in the DAR System (Demurrage/Detention After Booking
Approval) for DEM/DET waivers of any amount, contingent upon GHQ AE PRI authorization.
Collaboration & Market Alignment
- Participate in regular briefings with frontline offices and GHQ to monitor market dynamics and adjust strategies based on real-time performance data.
Qualifications
- Qualifications Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding. Prior experience in pricing or trade management is highly preferred.
- Focus: Asia-Europe Trade routes, rate structures, and specialized cargo handling.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
- Technical Skills Industry Systems: Experience with internal trade, pricing, and operational systems is an advantage
- Analytical Mindset: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and the ability to interpret complex data sets into actionable pricing insights.
