About the role
We are setting up a One Data Platform to bring together data from various data sources around the business (ERP, CRM and various other applications). The data platform is built with Databricks, the reports with Power BI. To be able to expand, we are looking for a Power BI developer to join the team.
What are we looking for
Must have:
- At least 4 years experience as a Power BI developer
- Can design and create reports in Power BI desktop
- Can create semantic models (knows data modelling with facts and dimensions)
- Is proficient in DAX to create measures
- Can set up refresh schedules (incremental, large models) ensuring good performance
- Has experience with Power BI external tools like Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, etc.
- Has experience discussing reporting needs with end users/business users and can translate this to actionable and user-friendly Power BI reports
- Has experience with a productive Power BI (online) environment, and concepts like workspaces, apps, deployment pipelines, audiences, etc.
- Is fluent in English, both oral and written
- Can work independently, is able to take up tasks without micro-management / intensive coaching
- Must be proactive, have a critical mindset and be quality-oriented
Nice to have:
- Experience as administrator of a Power BI or Fabric environment (Power BI tenant settings, gateway admin, capacity, etc..
- Knowledge of SQL language
- Know your way around Azure, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Fabric
- Experience in more advanced analytics cases (e.g., AI aspects, data science, etc.)
- Knowledge of other Microsoft tooling, e.g., Power Apps, other Azure components, etc.
- Experience working in international teams and contexts
