About the Role
The role involves working as a team within Risk Management to provide supporting data and analytics in setting risk appetite for the product.
Responsibilities
- Work as a team within Risk Management to provide supporting data and analytics in setting risk appetite for the product.
- Partner with Business, Data & Analytics, and Credit Operations counterparts in managing the portfolio to achieve plan numbers and product sustainability.
- Work with Credit Operations and Business counterparts to ensure correct policy implementation on an operational level.
- Provide supporting data & analytics at portfolio and segment level for the purpose of monitoring and policy adjustment with the ultimate goal of managing risk and maximizing rewards.
- Partner with Risk Reporting teams, provide supporting data for Credit Risk Reporting and Portfolio Quality Review Reporting, as well as adhoc reporting as needed.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related course/degree strongly preferred.
- Experience in Credit Risk analytics for at least 5 years at a financial services institution preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong oral and written communication as well as presentation skills.
- Strong data management skills.
- Basic Python, SQL or similar programming language skills.
- Knowledgeable in Excel and other Microsoft tools.
- Comfortable in working with groups.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Credit Risk analytics.
