The Pool Attendant / Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests using the pool and surrounding areas. This role includes monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, providing first aid and emergency assistance when necessary, and maintaining the cleanliness and general condition of the pool facilities.
Summary Of Responsibilities
Guest Safety & Supervision
- Monitor and supervise all pool activities to ensure the safety of guests at all times.
- Enforce pool rules, regulations, and safety standards consistently and professionally.
- Respond quickly and effectively to all emergencies, performing water rescues and administering first aid or CPR as required.
- Remain alert, attentive, and visible at all times while on duty.
Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the pool area, including deck, lounge chairs, restrooms, and surrounding spaces.
- Inspect pool equipment, water quality, and safety devices daily, reporting any issues to maintenance or management immediately.
- Assist with setting up and storing pool furniture and recreational equipment.
Guest Service
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering inquiries, and ensuring a pleasant poolside experience.
- Offer towels, monitor guest needs, and ensure comfort and satisfaction.
- Report any guest concerns or incidents promptly to the supervisor.
Compliance & Training
- Follow all hotel policies, safety procedures, and local health regulations.
- Participate in regular lifeguard and first-aid training and certification renewals.
- Support other recreation activities or events as needed.
