Job Description

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or any related field.

Must be a DOLE-accredited Safety Officer (SO2 or SO3 level preferred).

Completed Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) or Construction Safety and Health (COSH) Training.

Knowledge of DOLE, DENR, and BFP safety standards and regulations.

Preferably with First Aid and Fire Safety Training certification.

With Pollution Control Training.

Experience

At least 2 to 3 years of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in a construction, shipyard, or industrial setting.

Proven experience in conducting safety inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments.

Experience in implementing safety programs, toolbox meetings, and emergency preparedness drills.

Familiar with PPE compliance, permits to work, and hazard identification control.

Skills And Competencies

Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards and government compliance requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with different departments.

Ability to identify hazards, analyze risks, and recommend corrective actions.

Attention to detail and strong report writing skills (incident reports, safety audit reports, etc.).

Proactive, disciplined, and able to influence safe work behavior among employees.

Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Can work under pressure and handle multiple safety-related tasks simultaneously.
