Plumber (Talent Pooling)

We are seeking an experienced Plumber to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and equipment across various facilities based in Diego Garcia. The role involves interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements, performing repairs on plant systems such as RO Plants, and ensuring timely completion of reports. The ideal candidate must maintain high standards of engineering hygiene, adhere to company SOPs, and follow strict health and safety protocols, including RAMS. Strong knowledge of pipe laying installation, jointing, and familiarity with fittings is essential.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs and maintains all plumbing equipment as assigned.
• Studies plans, drawings, specifications and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installations.
• Repairs and maintains plant systems such as RO Plants where necessary.
• To fill in all required reports/returns neatly and return in the correct time allocated.
• Must maintain the highest levels of engineering hygiene when carrying out works.
• Must adhere to all Company and Departmental SOP's at all times.
• Must maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times paying particular attention to the Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Must have deep knowledge and understanding in pipe laying, installing, jointing and familiar with the fittings.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Technical or vocational certification in an engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of industry safety practices.
• At least 3 - 5 years working hands-on as a plumber.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in English.
