Job Description

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, valves, drainage systems, and appliances.
  • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, leaks, blockages, or breakdowns within company-managed properties.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize system downtime and extend asset life.
  • Ensure all plumbing work complies with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with other property service staff (electricians, carpenters, HVAC technicians) to resolve complex maintenance issues.
  • Prepare cost estimates for plumbing repairs, materials, and labor when required.
  • Maintain accurate service records, job logs, and work reports.
  • Assist in planning and implementing plumbing system upgrades and renovations.
  • Monitor inventory of plumbing tools, materials, and supplies, and request replenishment as necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants, property occupants, and stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Technical/Vocational Certificate in Plumbing or related field.
  • Valid plumber's license (if required by local regulations).
  • Minimum 23 years of plumbing experience, preferably in property services, facilities management, or construction.
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, equipment, and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
