The role

We are seeking an experienced Player Operations Specialist to support the smooth and secure operation of our Social Casino platform. This role focuses on operational risk management, virtual currency payments, player verification, fraud prevention, and trust & safety, ensuring a fair, engaging, and compliant player experience.

What you'll be doing

Operational Risk & Process Controls

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks across player onboarding, virtual currency transactions, promotions, and platform operations
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of operational controls and standard operating procedures
  • Escalate operational issues, control gaps, and player-impacting risks in a timely manner

Payments & Virtual Currency Operations

  • Monitor and support player transactions related to virtual currency purchases, rewards, refunds, and promotions
  • Investigate failed transactions, billing disputes, and player-reported payment issues
  • Coordinate with payment service providers and app store partners to resolve transaction issues
  • Ensure transaction flows align with platform policies and consumer protection standards

Player Verification & KYC (Where Applicable)

  • Conduct identity, age, and account verification checks in accordance with platform requirements
  • Review player documentation and resolve verification exceptions
  • Perform enhanced reviews for high-risk player behavior or transactions
  • Maintain accurate player records and verification logs

Fraud Prevention, Abuse & Player Protection

  • Monitor and investigate potential fraud, account takeovers, multi-accounting, bonus abuse, or collusive behavior
  • Support trust & safety initiatives and responsible play controls
  • Collaborate with Fraud, Compliance, Product, and Customer Support teams on investigations and resolutions

Operational Excellence & Improvement

  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce friction, and protect the player experience
  • Support launches of new features, virtual currency offers, or payment methods

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in operations, payments, risk, fraud, or trust & safety within social casino, social gaming, or digital platforms
  • Strong understanding of operational risk management and fraud prevention
  • Experience handling payments, billing disputes, or virtual currency transactions
  • Excellent attention to detail and investigative skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in social casino or free-to-play gaming environments
  • Familiarity with app store policies, virtual goods, and digital payments
  • Experience using fraud detection, transaction monitoring, or case management tools
  • Knowledge of consumer protection, privacy, and platform compliance standards
