Bar2 is a UK-based service business evolving into a SaaS-like platform for the contingent workforce.
We are building a modular, scalable system that powers onboarding, compliance, payroll, and contractor experience — combining:
- Modern web apps (Vercel)
- Headless CMS (Sanity)
- Azure backend (SQL, APIs, identity)
- Power Platform (CRM + workflow automation)
This is a live transformation — not a greenfield experiment.
The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Platform Engineer to take ownership of delivery for the next 6 months.
You will sit across our entire stack — connecting frontend, backend, and automation layers into a coherent platform.
This is a high-ownership, high-impact role working directly with leadership.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build and maintain web applications (Vercel-hosted frontends)
- Integrate with Sanity CMS for content and marketing journeys
- Develop and extend Azure-based backend services (APIs, SQL, identity)
- Design and optimise Power Platform workflows (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- Translate business processes (onboarding, payroll, compliance) into scalable system logic
- Ensure systems are modular, observable, and maintainable
- Document architecture and key decisions clearly
What We're Looking For:
Core Skills
- Experience across modern web apps (React / Next.js preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of APIs and system integration
- Experience with Azure (functions, logic apps, SQL, identity)
- Solid experience with Power Platform (Power Apps / Automate)
- Understanding of data models and system design
