SUMMARY:
The Jr. Analyst's primary responsibility as a member of the Business Intelligence team is to support various business functions with data-driven insights and analyses using dashboards and reports. They will support the administration of daily, weekly, and monthly data deliverables by assisting with the collection, analysis and reporting of data. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Dashboard and Report Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of Business Intelligence dashboards and reports, including managing the ETL (extract, transform, load) process.
- Communication with BI Leadership: Regularly engage with BI Team leaders to gather requirements and provide feedback for dashboarding and reporting needs.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA) within the Business Intelligence Data Lake environment.
- Ad Hoc Data Analysis: Perform ad hoc data analysis to support various business functions, including Finance, Accounting, Sales, Operations, and Marketing.
- Process Documentation: Assist in documenting processes, including defining data definitions and creating process workflows.
- Team Support: Provide day-to-day data support to Business Intelligence team members.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Advanced Excel Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Excel (experience with Power Query for managing large datasets is a plus).
- BI Tools Experience: Proficient in using Business Intelligence tools such as QuickSight, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar, to transform large datasets into actionable dashboards and reports.
- Data Warehousing and ETL: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL (extract, transform, load) processes.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a keen curiosity to explore data trends and derive meaningful insights.
- Attention to Detail: Commitment to ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to a diverse audience.
- Team and Independent Work: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- SQL Proficiency: Strong skills in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- AWS Environment Experience: Experience working with AWS environments, particularly with RedShift, Athena, and Quick Suite a plus.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in the merchant services industry is a plus.
