Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 3 support for PL/SQL-based applications and Oracle databases.
  • Analyze and resolve complex production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
  • Optimize PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams for bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for solutions and processes.
  • Support incident management, problem management, and change management processes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure SLA compliance and timely resolution.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and packages.
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Knowledge of Oracle database architecture and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting for automation.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a 24x7 support environment (on-call rotation may be required).

  • Tools: Make, gcc, valgrind, gdb, pstack, strace, Linux (Red Hat 8), ServiceNow, Jira, Control-M

  • Debug and resolve issues in C++ applications
  • Handle L1/L2 escalations
  • Work on Jira stories for fixes and enhancements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Write or modify Unix shell scripts
