Job Description

The Personal Loans Product Management & Development Head is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the profitability, competitiveness, and customer value proposition of BPI's Personal Loan products. The role involves managing pricing, introducing new product variants, enhancing features, ensuring governance compliance, and collaborating with marketing to grow brand awareness and preference.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance features of existing Personal Loan products and introduce new variants to grow market share.
  • Optimize pricing (interest and fee‑based) and product features to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Provide marketing materials and collaterals to support acquisitions, portfolio teams, and sales channels.
  • Manage operating expenses related to advertising, publicity, selling, and capital expenditures.
  • Collaborate with Business Analytics and Finance to identify opportunities for improved profitability.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to inform product development.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (Credit Risk, CRM, Data Science, Systems, Legal & Compliance, Marketing) and external partners (research firms, marketing agencies) for seamless execution of plans.
  • Recommend pricing, product features, and budget allocations to the Personal Loans Head.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and business policies, resolving product‑related issues as needed.
  • Supervise and train Marketing Associates (1–2 indirect reports).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business‑related discipline (Marketing, Finance, or similar).
  • At least 5 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, Business Intelligence, or Product Development.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Personal Loans/Unsecured Lending or related fields (preferred).
  • Strong project management background with understanding of product profitability dynamics.
  • Knowledge of data analytics, market research, consumer loans, and digital channels.
  • Skills in people management, influencing, strategic thinking, analytical ability, communication, and negotiation.
  • Attributes: initiative, self‑starter, solutions/results‑oriented.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Preferably with experience in banks (e.g., Citibank, BDO, Chinatrust) or fintechs (e.g., GLoans, Cashalo, CIMB).
