We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Personal Injury Lawyer with 25 years post-admission experience (PAE) to support an Australian-based legal practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of personal injury matters while collaborating with an experienced legal team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury matters under supervision
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, affidavits, submissions, and correspondence
- Liaise with clients, insurers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders
- Conduct legal research and provide case summaries and recommendations
- Assist in preparing matters for mediation, settlement conferences, and hearings
- Review and analyse medical and evidentiary documents
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian legal standards and deadlines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date file notes and records
Requirements:
- Admitted to practice in Australia with a current practising certificate
- 25 years PAE in Personal Injury Law (e.g., workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents, public liability)
- Strong knowledge of Australian personal injury legislation and procedures
- Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a remote team
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with Australian clients remotely
- Familiarity with legal practice management systems (e.g., LEAP, Smokeball)
- Experience in settlement negotiations and client management
