Responsibilities:
As a Permit Quality Control, you are responsible for managing all facets of permitting. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.
In addition, you will:
Submit permit applications for construction projects
Track and manage lifecycles of permits to include change orders
Interact with the city, county, and state municipalities relating to permitting
Have an understand permitting code and policy
Monitoring email & tracking for incoming requests as the design phase is completed for jobs and completing permit qualification for those jobs.
Reviewing the design drawings to determine scope and location, and determining the permitting scope based on that information.
Maintaining live tracking as each job is completed.
Ideally, once the employee has a solid handle on this daily routine, they will be able to progress with additional training to handle further downstream task as well.
Qualifications:
About You:
You can learn different city, county, and state permitting rules and guidelines
Understands all phases of the permitting process
At least 1-3 years of progressively challenging permitting and 3 years of professional experience reviewing workprints and quality control tasks
You can learn, or create a system to track and manage multiple permits in various phases of progress
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PDF editor or similar and the ability to learn custom software
Knowledge ofAutoCADis a plus.
