Payroll Specialist

Job Title: Payroll Specialist (Contract)

Location: Remote (Pacific Time Hours 8am – 5pm)

Schedule: 40 hours every other week

Duration: Ongoing Contract (No End Date)

Overview

We are seeking two Payroll Specialists to support a high-volume, multi-state payroll operation. This is an ongoing contract opportunity, working 40 hours per week.

This role supports payroll operations across 6 states for approximately 6,000 employees across 200 restaurant locations.

Schedule & Structure

• Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm Pacific Time

• 40 hours per week

• Off payroll week: Review and validate new hires

• Every other week: Process payroll

Responsibilities

• Review new hire documentation and ensure I-9 compliance

• Validate and process payroll accurately and on time

• Manage payroll responsibilities for assigned states (WA, OR, UT, ID, NC, SC)

• Ensure payroll compliance with multi-state regulations

• Work closely with the Payroll Lead (based in Woodinville, WA)

• Support payroll processing for approximately 6,000 employees

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of U.S. payroll experience

• Experience processing multi-state payroll

• Experience working with an automated payroll system

Preferred Qualifications

• Paycom experience preferred but not required
