Job Description

iSupport Worldwide is hiring an HR & Payroll Specialist to support a US-based client. This role is responsible for end-to-end HR generalist support with a strong focus on multi-state US payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. The position requires hands-on experience with US labor laws, payroll processing, benefits, and HR operations in a regulated or compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Operations

• Support day-to-day HR operations including employee relations, compliance, training, and HR programs

• Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition initiatives

• Communicate and enforce company policies, procedures, and programs

• Handle employee and applicant inquiries, escalating sensitive matters as needed

• Participate in employee disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations

• Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local US employment laws

• Track training, certifications, and required compliance documentation

• Partner with Finance, Operations, and leadership teams on people-related matters

Payroll Administration

• Serve as primary point of contact for processing multi-state US payroll

• Prepare and review payroll journal entries and reconciliations

• Process expense reimbursements, contractor payments, HSA contributions, and 401(k) transactions

• Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, overtime rules, and payroll tax requirements

• Support payroll audits and payroll-related reporting

Benefits and Leave Administration

• Administer employee benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, disability, and life insurance

• Manage open enrollment and benefit carrier coordination

• Process life event changes and respond to employee benefit inquiries

• Perform benefit reconciliations and process carrier payments

• Manage employee leave requests and ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, ACA, and related laws

Talent Acquisition Support

• Recruit, interview, and support hiring for non-manager roles

• Collaborate with hiring managers on job requirements and offer details

• Assist with job postings and workforce planning initiatives

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience

• At least 3 years of hands-on multi-state US payroll experience

• Strong knowledge of US labor laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, wage and hour compliance

• Experience managing benefits, payroll taxes, audits, and employee leave

• Paycom HRIS experience is required

• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment

Preferred

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification

• Certified Payroll Professional

• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, or nutraceuticals
