Reports To:Compensation and Benefits Manager

Location:Alabang (On-site), Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila, Philippines

Position Summary:

The Payroll Specialist at Pinnacle Intelligence is a crucial role responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of employee payroll within our dynamic BPO environment. This individual ensures that all aspects of compensation, deductions, and benefits are processed correctly, adhering to both company policies and all relevant statutory requirements. The Payroll Specialist serves as a key resource for employee payroll inquiries and plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our payroll system and records, contributing to employee satisfaction and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Payroll Processing & Execution:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for all employees accurately and on schedule, including salaries, wages, overtime, commissions, bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements.
  • Review and verify timesheets, attendance records, and other payroll-related inputs to ensure accuracy before processing.
  • Manage payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, transfers, salary adjustments, and benefits enrollment.

2. Compliance & Remittances:


  • Ensure strict compliance with all local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG contributions, BIR tax remittances in the Philippines).
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely government remittances and reports.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.

3. Payroll Reconciliation & Reporting:


  • Reconcile payroll accounts and general ledger entries related to payroll, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Generate various payroll reports for management, finance, and auditing purposes (e.g., payroll summaries, deductions reports, headcount reports).
  • Assist with internal and external payroll audits.

4. Employee Support & Inquiry Resolution:


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, benefits, and tax-related matters, providing clear and accurate information.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all payroll and employee information.

5. System Management & Record-Keeping:


  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure the integrity of the payroll system.
  • Perform data entry and updates within the payroll software.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless information flow and data accuracy across systems.

Skills & Qualifications:


Required:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, preferably in a BPO or high-volume company.
  • Payroll System Proficiency: Hands-on experience with payroll software/systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, locally relevant payroll systems).
  • Strong Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of Philippine Labor Laws: Solid understanding of Philippine labor codes, tax regulations (BIR), and statutory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
  • Accuracy & Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all payroll computations and data entry.
  • Confidentiality & Integrity: Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion and integrity.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with employees and internal stakeholders clearly and professionally.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience in a company supporting the automotive retail industry.
