Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to oversee end-to-end payroll processing, employee benefits administration, leave management, salary benchmarking, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate must possess solid expertise in payroll, a strong understanding of Philippine labor laws and statutory contributions, and the ability to coordinate effectively with government agencies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Job Responsibilities
1. Payroll Administration
- Process payroll accurately and on time, covering salaries, overtime, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and computation of final pay.
- Maintain payroll records, conduct reconciliations, and prepare payroll reports for management and audit use.
2. Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Administer company benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, incentives, and allowances.
- Provide guidance to employees and management on compensation policies, benefits eligibility, and enrollment procedures.
- Support salary benchmarking, market rate analysis, and recommendations to maintain competitive and equitable compensation practices.
3. Leave Management
- Manage all leave types including Vacation Leave, Sick Leave, and other statutory or special leaves.
- Ensure accurate accruals, tracking, utilization monitoring, and reporting of leave balances.
4. Government Contributions & Statutory Compliance
- Handle SSS benefits (maternity, sickness, calamity, disability, retirement) and SSS/Pag-IBIG loans, including Pag-IBIG MP2 and related programs.
- Process BIR TIN registration and ensure proper employee tax classification.
- Coordinate with SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR regarding claims, contributions, remittances, reconciliations, inquiries, and pending approvals.
- Ensure timely submission of statutory reports, forms, and certifications.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and government regulations affecting payroll, benefits, and leave administration.
5. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on payroll, benefits, leave balances, salary benchmarking, and statutory compliance.
- Conduct audits to ensure accuracy, documentation integrity, and policy compliance.
- Provide insights and recommendations regarding compensation trends, statutory obligations, and benefits optimization.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in payroll processing, compensation & benefits, and leave administration.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and statutory requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR).
- Hands-on experience with SSS benefits, Pag-IBIG MP2, employee loans, and final pay computation.
- Experience in BIR TIN processing and ensuring correct tax classification.
- Proficient in payroll systems, HRIS, and Microsoft Excel.
- Highly accurate, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information.
