Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing

  • Execute full-cycle payroll activities (monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly) for all employees.
  • Validate timesheets, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state/provincial, and local payroll tax laws.
  • Prepare and submit statutory filings (e.g., tax forms, year-end reports).

Record Management

  • Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee data, banking details, and leave balances.
  • Audit payroll entries to resolve discrepancies.

Employee Support

  • Address payroll-related queries and resolve issues promptly while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams for seamless data flow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Has at least 2 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations (e.g., IRS/CRA guidelines).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and discretion in handling sensitive data.
  • Payroll certification (e.g., CPP, PCP).
  • Experience in multi-state/province payroll environments.
