Payroll Specialist

Job Description

Payroll Management:

  • Handles end-to end- payroll processing of at least 500 employee headcount of clients, including bonuses,
  • adjustments, and ad-hoc requests.
  • Collates information for above processes, produces reports, journals, and files.
  • Prepares, codes, and processes journals for employee provisions (when applicable).
  • Reconciles payroll related general ledger accounts.
  • Prepares various payroll related reports for managers.
  • Calculates termination and redundancy pay as required.
  • Processes and reconciles year end payroll requirements including payment summaries, tax annualization, and
  • other associated reports.
  • Works with the Analysts to deliver accurate and timely payroll.
  • Serves as tier 2 support group for the contact center team.
  • Keeps oneself up-to-date and informed of existing process flows.
  • Stays abreast of changes and new system functionalities.

Back-Up / Validation / Checking:

  • Serves as a back-up resource for other members of the team ensuring business continuity.
  • Raises issues and risks as it is encountered in operations.
  • Assists in the maintenance of process documentations ensuring processes are accurately captured and
  • remains in compliance with acceptable global standards.

Reports Management:

  • Assists in the generation and creation of client-specific and internal reporting requirements.
  • Supports internal reporting requirements – productivity and efficiency, performance, and service delivery.
  • Participates in internal meetings in preparation for Service Delivery reviews with clients and internal
  • management team.
  • Participates in completing process documentation.

Others:

  • Reviews and updates processes to improve efficiency and to meet the changing needs of the organization.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; internship or relevant exposure to payroll, accounting, or HR operations is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of payroll processing, employee compensation, deductions, and statutory contributions.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, and reconciliation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling numerical and employee-related information.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information with professionalism.
