Job Description

Leads and coordinates cross-functional teams in support of the end-to-end payroll process for clients.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Working knowledge of North American payroll, benefits and workforce management functions.
  • Managing and coaching a team of payroll administrators
  • Providesexcellent customer service experience
  • Setting direction for people to achieve their goals
  • Managing a broad scope of day-to-day operations
  • Measuring, monitoring, and controlling quality using department metrics
  • Measured process improvements that have internal and external impacts
  • Working with offshore teamsprovidingongoing daily support and subject matter expertise
  • Multinational payroll experience (US/CA) is an asset

  • Provides leadership and expertiseto direct reports; ensures they are provided with the appropriate toolsand training to successfully execute ongoing daily responsibilities
  • Demonstrates a desire to continually learn and sets learning goals for self and team
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients and internal team members
  • Collaborate with internal partners and high-profile clients through client lifecycle
  • Oversight of testing completion (Parallel, Dry run, Dev changes)
  • Manages and coordinates payroll teams and collaborates globally to ensure end to end payroll success
  • Coach and mentor team, conductregular individual performance meetings that include, setting expectations, performance conversations and documentation, careerand development
  • Sustain a team culture of individual engagement, personal growthand career development.
  • Managing schedules and staffing
  • Document and escalate issues timely
  • Plan and coordinate regular team meetings, maintaininga quality culture, encouraging participation
  • Share key company strategies and initiatives positively
  • Create and maintaina high levelof engagement and leadership effectiveness
  • Participate and/or lead various projects to completion(including middleware vendor projects)
  • Responsible for year-round compliance and control efforts
  • Participates in a network of cross-functional internal partners
  • Has an I own it attitude about deliverables and projects from start to finish
  • Accountable and responsible for overall quality control and auditing to ensure accuracy and low error or defect percentage. Leads efforts to continually improve in these areas
  • Responsible for ensuring contract and service level agreements (SLA) compliance
  • Manage continuous change effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Hours of work between 8am-8pm Eastern Standard Time (EST)

MinimumQualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of experience leading teams in high-volume payroll and benefits operations.
  • Must have a minimum of 1- 3 years of experience leading teams in high-volumepayroll operation, managing end to end Canada and/or US payroll (Includes Balancing, Quarter End (US), ROE (CA), Tax, Garnishments, Legislation & Year End)
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with other functional areas/organizations to deliver a seamless experience in a matrix environment
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability tocommunicate clearly and effectively with leadership, internal partners, and customers
  • Plans organizes and problem solves, aligning with company goals
  • Bachelor's Degree desiredor equivalent work experience
  • Industry related certification is an asset
  • Experience in the outsourcing or consulting industry preferred
  • Highly adaptable and flexible.
  • Able to manage through constant change with minimal stress
