Your Role:


Key Accountabilities

(key activities, deliverables, and metrics)

. Working with the outsourced payroll provider for timely and accurate payroll processing and reporting for compliance with the relevant Agreements, Awards, EBA's, taxation, superannuation, Workcover and any other legislation

Preparing payment files for approval for fortnightly employee pays and payments to statutory bodies with supporting documentation including PAYG and superannuation
Preparing reconciliations of payroll reports to general ledger and superannuation clearing house
Payroll tax preparation and lodgement for the group
Managing Workcover insurance premiums including completion of rateable declarations and Workcover claim management

. Ensure employee entitlements for annual leave, sick/personal leave and LSL are administered and processed

. Support HR in ensuring all new starters and terminations are correctly processed and any redundancy calculations are actioned correctly

. In consultation with HR ensure that service levels for payroll are maintained and regularly reviewed and documentation and procedures are updated where necessary

Responding to incoming payroll queries that have been escalated from the outsourced payroll provider as well as checking their outputs for accuracy
. Maintain open and effective two-way communication with managers and staff in order to effectively respond to issues and resolve any payroll discrepancies

Maintenance of payroll files and records, including regular filing and correspondences and forms
. Provide payroll/HR related reports as instructed by HR and other business leaders

Processing payroll journals monthly
Provide accurate and prompt administration service to ensure smooth running of the payroll deliverables
Provide general administration assistance to the HR team as required to assist in the achievement of business objectives

What You Need:


-A minimum of 3 years experience in an end to end payroll environment

Finance qualification
-The ability to interpret Enterprise Agreement and operate within fast paced environment
-Solid experience in Award and statutory interpretation and legislation
-A high level of attention to detail and accuracy with a focus on numeracy
-The ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
-Intermediate to advanced proficiency in using Excel, Outlook, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
-Superior communication in dealing with employees, co-workers, and manager
-Ensure all confidentialities are assured in all matters pertaining to Payroll and Personnel
-Efficient problem-solving ability with sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills
-Strong ability to plan, organise using high level of initiative and resourcefulness
-Well organised and highly efficient working in a multi-tasking dynamic environment
-Participate and work as part of the HR team to achieve common goals
-Actively participate in HR team meetings and follow up all outcomes
-Assist all members of the HR team to meet required payroll deadlines
