Payroll Associate
Location: Marikina City, Metro Manila Job Type: Full-time
Job SummaryBernales & Associates is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Associate to join our HR and Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting payroll processing, maintaining accurate employee compensation records, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll-related transactions. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, while candidates with relevant payroll experience are preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and processing of employee payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including salaries, deductions, allowances, and other compensation details.
- Assist in verifying attendance, timekeeping records, overtime, leaves, and other payroll-related information.
- Support the processing of government-mandated deductions, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG.
- Ensure accurate computation of payroll adjustments, deductions, and other employee compensation-related transactions.
- Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding payroll and compensation.
- Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with HR and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of employee payroll information.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with company payroll policies and applicable regulations.
- Perform other payroll-related tasks as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related courses.
- Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in payroll processing or a related HR/Finance role is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of payroll processes, employee compensation, and government-mandated benefits is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
- Must be amenable to work on-site in Marikina City.
- Internship experience in payroll, HR, accounting, or finance is an advantage.
- Familiarity with payroll systems, timekeeping software, or HRIS is a plus.
- Knowledge of SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contribution processes is preferred.
- Experience in payroll processing within a BPO environment is an advantage.
