Job Summary:
Represents the Payroll Area with other departments in the development of new and/or revised Payroll operations. Compiles data and prepares a variety of time sensitive reports as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares, analyzes and audits various times such as Payroll general ledger accounts and State, Federal and City Tax returns.
- Complies Payroll statistics for various reports for all locations and when necessary outside agencies.
- Coordinates a variety of activities to specific Payroll functions to include processing and calculating of bonuses, retroactive adjustments, etc.
- Audits, balance sand reconciles Payroll data.
- Analyzes processing procedures to properly identify and correct errors.
- Coordinates support activities such as employee transfers as they relate to the Payroll function for the corporation.
- Identifies potential problems and makes recommendations to minimize impact on Payroll or other related functions.
- Updates and maintains Payroll and other financial records.
- Prepares, analyzes and selects methods of presenting various financial data.
- Assists senior analysts, supervisors, auditors.
- Designs and updates Payroll forms as necessary.
- Assists in the training of new Payroll employees, provides work guidance and assists Payroll manager in work related problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Requirements:
- 6 or more years of experience in Billing or Payroll Supervisory experience preferred.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, First Degree, Trade/Vocational School certificate or Equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management preferred. CPP preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally exert up to 10 lbs. of force to push, pull, lift or otherwise move objects. Have visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data; and/or viewing a computer terminal. Type and/or sit for extended periods of time. Consistent attendance is an essential function of the job.
