PAYROLL ANALYST

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Payroll Analyst will support accurate, timely and compliant payroll processing for assigned employee populations. The role will review payroll inputs, validate calculations, resolve discrepancies and coordinate with employees, HR, Finance and external payroll providers.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail and experience working with confidential employee and payroll information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

. Collect, review and validate payroll inputs, including employee changes, time and attendance, allowances, deductions, overtime and statutory contributions.
. Support end-to-end monthly and off-cycle payroll processing.
. Perform payroll reconciliations and investigate variances before final approval.
. Ensure payroll activities comply with applicable legislation, company policies and internal controls.
. Coordinate with HR, Finance, employees and third-party payroll providers to resolve payroll-related issues.
. Respond to employee payroll inquiries accurately and within agreed service levels.
. Maintain accurate payroll records, reports and supporting documentation.
. Support statutory reporting, year-end processing, audits and payroll-control reviews.
. Prepare payroll reports, journals and funding information for Finance, where applicable.
. Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency and controls.
. Support payroll-system implementations, migrations, testing and process changes as required.
. Protect confidential payroll and employee information at all times.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
. At least two years of relevant payroll, HR operations or payroll-accounting experience.
. Working knowledge of payroll processes, reconciliations and employee data administration.
. Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
. High attention to detail and ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.
. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookups, pivot tables and data reconciliation.
. Good written and verbal English communication skills.
. Ability to work effectively with local and international stakeholders.
. Demonstrated discretion when handling confidential information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

. Experience supporting payroll in a multinational or shared-services environment.
. Experience with SAP, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Payroll or another major payroll platform.
. Knowledge of Philippine statutory payroll requirements.
. Experience with multi-country or regional payroll operations.
. Experience working with outsourced payroll providers.
. Exposure to payroll testing, system implementation or process migration.

. Compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.
. Timely resolution of employee and stakeholder inquiries.
