We're looking for an empathetic and highly organized Patient Support Specialist to provide front-line operational support to patients and healthcare providers. In this role, you will be the bridge between patients, doctors, and pharmacies—resolving non-clinical issues across systems such as prescriptions, billing, and eligibility. Compensation & Perks

Salary Range: Up to ₱60,000/month (Final offer based on skills and experience)

Work Setup: 100% permanent work-from-home

Schedule: U.S. Business Hours (Must be open to working one weekend day if needed)

What You'll Do

  • Multi-Channel Support: Provide technical assistance to patients and providers via email, chat, and phone, ensuring high-quality communication and quick response times.
  • Complex Coordination: Act as the liaison between patients, doctors, pharmacies, and internal teams to resolve issues like prescription transmissions and eligibility questions.
  • Case Management: Manage support cases that require deep research, multiple follow-ups, and cross-tool investigation rather than single-touch responses.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Communicate with providers via Slack and document all outcomes clearly in Zendesk and operational spreadsheets (Google Sheets/Excel).
  • Financial Operations: Handle sensitive workflows including refunds, billing, and payment-related tasks using internal tools and established SOPs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Escalating technical inquiries to Engineering or Product teams when necessary to ensure 100% issue resolution.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience with Zendesk or a similar ticketing platform (Zendesk strongly preferred).
  • High-Trust Experience: Proven background supporting customers in regulated industries such as healthcare, fintech, or insurance.
  • Technical Agility: Comfort working across multiple tools simultaneously (Slack, JIRA, internal admin systems, and spreadsheets).
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English skills with a professional, empathetic phone presence.
  • Judgment & Ownership: Ability to learn complex workflows quickly and apply sound judgment when SOPs don't cover every specific scenario.
  • Detail Oriented: A detective mindset—thoroughly reading and listening to understand issues and double-checking work before solving tickets.

Nice to have

  • Advanced technical skills and understanding
  • Experience supporting telehealth, healthcare, or health-adjacent platforms
  • Familiarity with Zendesk, JIRA, or similar ticketing/escalation tools
  • Experience using Google Sheets / Excel for tracking, lookups, or operational reporting
  • Exposure to payments or billing systems (e.g., refunds, payment processors like Stripe/Braintree)
  • Prior experience coordinating with external partners (doctors, vendors, payers, pharmacies)
