The Opportunity

We are hiring a Senior Paraplanner with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in the financial advice industry. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who can independently own and manage complex tasks, work within a fast-paced environment, and contribute meaningfully to the strategic development of advice solutions.

You will be expected to operate across technical advice preparation, client implementation, and strategy development, working in close partnership with our senior advisers.

Key Responsibilities:

Paraplanning & Advice Support

• Prepare compliant, technically sound Statements of Advice (SoAs) and Records of Advice (RoAs).
• Conduct detailed financial modelling, legislative research, and product analysis.
• Use XPLAN to construct advice documents in line with ASIC and licensee standards.

Strategy Paper Development

• Build and draft comprehensive financial strategy papers, clearly outlining the rationale, benefits, risks, and implementation approach for recommended strategies.
• Translate complex financial scenarios into clear, client-ready written strategies.
• Collaborate with advisers to refine and present strategy documentation during the advice process.

Implementation & Client Workflow

• Execute full pre-boarding, onboarding, and implementation of client strategies.
• Manage rollovers, contributions, investment switches, insurance applications, and other advice actions from end to end.
• Communicate with clients and providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all implementation tasks.

Systems & Process Management

• Use XPLAN for advice production and CRM tracking.
• Leverage GoHighLevel (GHL) to manage workflows, automation, and communications.
• Identify and improve operational bottlenecks to drive efficiency.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 4 years experience in paraplanning or technical financial advice support roles.
• Strong understanding of Australian financial advice regulations, compliance, and client strategy.
• Demonstrated experience in developing detailed strategy papers and advice narratives.
• Advanced working knowledge of XPLAN (mandatory) and GoHighLevel (GHL) (preferred).
• Excellent written English and technical communication skills.
• Strong time management and task prioritisation skills.
• Proven ability to take ownership, work autonomously, and deliver results at a high standard.
• Degree in Financial Planning, Accounting, Business, or related field (preferred but not essential).
