Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support to our Legal Compliance and Licensing Department.
The Paralegal will assist in contract management, legal research, litigation support, regulatory compliance, and corporate legal documentation. This role works closely with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and government agencies to ensure legal matters are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the preparation, review, proofreading, and administration of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of standard legal agreements and identify contractual provisions requiring legal escalation.
- Coordinate contract execution, routing for approvals, notarization, filing, and document management.
- Maintain the company's contract database and monitor contract review requests.
- Conduct legal research on laws, regulations, jurisprudence, and regulatory issuances relevant to the insurance industry and business operations.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assist in preparing legal opinions, position papers, and compliance-related documents.
- Maintain legal knowledge repositories, legal opinions, and compliance records.
- Provide litigation and dispute support by organizing pleadings, affidavits, exhibits, and case documentation.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel regarding filings, hearings, legal documentation, and case updates.
- Monitor litigation deadlines and maintain legal calendars.
- Prepare case summaries and maintain organized legal files and records.
- Draft legal correspondence, memoranda, notices, demand letters, and communications with regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding legal documentation and compliance requirements.
- Perform other legal and administrative duties assigned by the Head of Legal Compliance and Licensing.
What You Need to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Law, or any related field.
- At least 1–3 years of relevant experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in a legal support role.
- Experience in contract management, legal documentation, regulatory compliance, and legal research.
- Knowledge of Philippine laws, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and document management systems.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is an advantage.
- Able to work independently while effectively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
