Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Scientist (Packaging).
What are the Roles and Responsibilities:
- Effectively supports the coordination across all stakeholders the development and approval of all design standards related to packaging work scopes based on construction specification and requirements, considering cost, quality, health, safety and environmental requirements
- Manages the feasibility stage of the project by collaborating with different functions to have a holistic approach to scope, timelines and budget.
- Performs packaging design analysis and calculations according to project requirements, coordinate all packaging requirements to process, civil, mechanical, and electrical teams, drives the correct and timely design and awarding of different scopes, and recommends corrective actions for design issues.
- Interfaces with the project packaging suppliers, ensuring correct, timely and cost-effective tendering of approved packaging scope packages.
- Supports the team in managing committed timelines for the design scopes of assigned project, driving completion of project requirements.
- Incorporates various established safety and permit compliance strategies to the various packaging work scopes being tendered and awarded.
- Prepare and provide necessary reports for proper monitoring of the progress of the project in terms of pre-project requirements, design, tendering and awarding.
- Experience in the Food service industry is a plus
- And others that may be assigned by the immediate superior.
What are the Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of BS Packaging, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- With 2 - 5 years of experience in packaging lines
- Skills Required: Mathematical and Engineering Acuity, Knowledgeable on 3 - 5 packaging lines, Understanding of Engineering concepts, Strong Process Design Skills, Good Project Management Skills.
