Review SDS medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures.
Assign and sequence codes accurately based on official guidelines for coding and reporting.
Assign level I and level II modifiers correctly.
In-depth knowledge of Ambulatory Surgery cases such as GI procedures, Laparoscopic surgery, Orthopedic surgery, and other services in the ambulatory setting.
Knowledge of 3M coding and abstracting software, Epic, Power Chart, or other EMR.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College Graduate of Nursing (RN) or any medical allied
Must have an active license of CPC, COC, CCS
Must have at least 2 years of experience in Same Day Surgery (SDS)
