Who We Are Looking For

Crisis24 is expanding its team in Manila to provide 24/7 analytical support to the Crisis & Security Consulting (CSC) division and global clients. As an Associate, you will be part of a shift-based team responsible for geopolitical risk analysis, maritime security analysis, digital threat intelligence, real-time monitoring and reporting.

This is an exciting early-career opportunity for detail-driven graduates interested in geopolitics and security. This role offers meaningful exposure to international projects, high-impact operational work, and the chance to develop expertise in maritime security.

Location and travel requirements

  • Place of work: Manila, the Philippines
  • Travel Expectations: This role may require international travel in support of consulting projects. Flexibility and readiness to deploy at short notice both domestically and overseas to higher threat environments are essential

What You Will Work On

As an Associate, you will work on:

  • Bespoke geopolitical reporting and threat assessments across geographies and threat types
  • Identify and assess maritime security incidents, data, emerging threats, and regional risk trends
  • Produce concise incident alerts, daily summaries, port/risk updates, and tailored analytical products for global clients
  • Contribute to longer-form reports, including risk assessments, operational briefings, and post-incident reviews
  • Conduct OSINT-based digital investigations into threat actors, online risks, and cyber indicators relevant to clients
  • Assist in due diligence investigations covering digital footprints, reputation screening, and behavioural mapping of persons of concern
  • Provide 24/7 operational coverage, ensuring timely responses to incidents, inquiries, and internal support requests
  • Collaborate with maritime, cyber, special risks, and global CSC teams to support client operations and crisis response
  • Follow established SOPs for escalation, documentation, reporting, and internal handovers
  • Assist with administrative and project support tasks as assigned by the OST Team Lead or regional managers

Who You Will Work With

You will collaborate with colleagues across the Crisis24 global network including teams in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East & Africa, and Asia Pacific as well as with partners within the GardaWorld group. Cross-functional teamwork with our Special Risks, All Hazards, and Product Risk units will be a key part of your role.

You Will Work Closely With

  • The Director for Africa, Middle East & Asia-Pacific and other members of CSC ensure alignment with broader Crisis24 operational priorities
  • Maritime consultants and intelligence specialists across Crisis24's global network, ensuring the Manila centre's outputs integrate seamlessly into client deliverables
  • Clients and internal stakeholders, contributing to intelligence briefings, incident updates, and operational support activities

What You Will Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in International Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or similar
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Comfortable working within a 24/7 shift-based operational environment
  • High levels of integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive information

Soft Skills & Attributes

  • Calm, adaptable, and able to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Strong time management, able to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Collaborative team player capable of independent task ownership
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in global security trends, geopolitics, and emerging cyber threats

Preferred

  • Master's degree in International Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or similar
  • Knowledge of maritime security frameworks (BMP5, IMO guidelines, IMB reporting)
  • Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence concepts, online threat actor profiling, and CTI tools
  • Familiarity with OSINT tools, digital research methods, or online threat investigation techniques
