what is an order to cash (otc) officer
our awesome client, a well-established australian manufacturing and distribution company supplying major retail, foodservice, and institutional customers nationwide, is looking for an order to cash (otc) officer to join their customer service team.
in this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end order-to-cash process, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time. you will work across multiple systems and customer portals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while collaborating closely with sales, logistics, and customer service teams to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
what will be your main responsibilities
- process and monitor customer orders from order entry through to invoicing across an erp system and multiple customer and carrier portals.
- confirm accurate delivery dates and times and prepare daily load sheets for carriers across multiple distribution sites.
- locate and match customer items within internal systems to ensure accurate order fulfilment.
- coordinate with sales, logistics, and customer service teams to keep orders progressing smoothly.
- maintain accurate operational and customer data to support key performance indicators (kpis).
- prepare basic reports and analytics as requested.
- support accurate invoicing and assist in resolving billing-related queries.
- identify opportunities to improve order processing and operational workflows.
Minimum Qualifications

- solid understanding of order processing and order-to-cash (otc) fundamentals.
- excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
- strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as within a collaborative team.
- background in customer service, data entry, or order entry and fulfilment is highly regarded.
- experience in a shared services environment is an advantage.
- exposure to erp systems such as microsoft dynamics 365 or similar platforms.
- comfortable working with multiple customer-facing systems and portals.
- working knowledge of microsoft excel.
