Job Description

Job Summary:

The FOP Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the arrival and delivery of shipments, processing payments, and managing all financial transactions related to importation. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of tax and duty calculations, manages remittances to foreign suppliers, handles Letters of Credit (LC), and contributes to the costing of landed costs and creation of Purchase Orders (PO). The position also maintains organized records for all importation activities and prepares regular reports on importation operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and process Purchase Orders (PO) for imported goods, ensuring all details (including pricing, quantity, and supplier information) are accurate.
  • Track the arrival and delivery of shipments to ensure timely processing and delivery.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams, freight forwarders, and suppliers to resolve any shipment delays or issues.
  • Check value declaration and computation of Tax & Duty
  • Calculate and track the landed cost of imported goods, including taxes, duties, shipping, and other associated costs.
  • Process and verify the Statement of Account (SOA) for brokerage charges related to importation.
  • Prepare, review, and process Letters of Credit for payments to foreign suppliers.
  • Prepare and validate remittance documents to foreign suppliers, including payments via LC or wire transfer.
  • Manage and maintain an organized records keeping systems for all importations. Handles preparation of quarterly and annual reports on importation
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports summarizing importation activities, including shipments, payments, taxes, duties, landed cost, Letters of Credit, and factor rates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Customs Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least three (3) years experience in retail and or related industry
  • Experience with Letter of Credit is preferred
  • Up-to-date knowledge on Custom memoranda, International Commercial Terms (Incoterms) of Shipment and other International Rules on Importation
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments and external parties.
