Job Description

Skillset Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience and proficiency in Oracle Essbase

Strong understanding of multidimensional database concepts and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) technologies

Proficiency in writing calculation scripts, load rules, and Multi-dimensional Expressions (MDX) queries

Experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning, Financial Management, or other EPM tools is a plus

Knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting processes

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and modify/maintain Oracle Essbase cubes and applications.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Essbase environments, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Build and optimize calculation scripts, load rules, and report scripts.
  • Manually load data from sources, such as GCP-UDP
  • Collaborate with business analysts and finance teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Integrate Essbase with other Oracle EPM modules and data sources.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization of Essbase applications.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Essbase applications, including issue resolution and user assistance.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure data integrity across environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data loads, calculations, and reporting.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure teams for patching, upgrades, and environment maintenance.
  • Document support procedures and maintain knowledge base for recurring issues

Qualifications / Other Requirements

  • Experience in Agile delivery and Scrum methodology
  • Willing to work on shifting schedule as needed
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
